Military and strategic metals are becoming increasingly important. Tungsten prices have risen rapidly over a short period of time, reflecting growing global demand for critical raw materials.
In one of the most beautiful regions of Rwanda, surrounded by tea plantations, Proxis has been investigating a new potential tungsten project for its client.
Beyond the stunning views, we observed a hydrothermal quartz vein system hosting wolframite mineralisation, extending from the parental granites into the surrounding country rocks, where high-grade mineralisation accumulated in sandwich-type structures. One geologist compared the system to the famous Panasqueira deposit type — an observation is not far from our own interpretation.
This case, among others, highlights the significant exploration potential for 3Ts mineralisation across the region.
