The two-day event, during which participants summarized achievements and results as well as planned further activities in the project, took place at the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków.
The special guest was Leonid Shumlyanskyy, PhD (employee of the Institute of Geological Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences), who presented Ukraine’s raw materials potential, with particular emphasis on vanadium (V) and titanium (Ti) deposits, and outlined a potential path for implementing and scaling project results in cooperation with Ukraine.
Thanks to courtesy of Professor Adam Piestrzyński, the project team saw an extraordinary and unique collection of rocks and minerals at the university’s Museum of Geology.
Participants also had the opportunity to visit the Wieliczka Salt Mine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and follow a special mining route.
We would like to thank all participants of the AVANTIS consortium meeting for inspiring, substantive and professional discussions and amazing, friendly atmosphere.
