Projects
Project has received funding from Polish Agency for Enterprise Development under Smart Growth Operational Programme 2014-2020, the sub-measure 2.3.2. Vouchers for innovations for SMEs.
The aim of the project was to develop a comprehensive methodology of obtaining quartzites which meet prohibitive metallurgical norms in order to offer innovative services to Proxis customers. The final result of the project is a complex path of evaluation of quartzite parameters expected by metallurgical industry. Innovative research methodology allows better assessment whether the chemical and physicomechanical nature of quartzites meets strict quality standards (through innovative concept of laboratory work). It also minimises the number of drillings due to geophysical research and allow proposing a modern concept of quartzites extraction and processing thanks to unconventional approach in mining plant designing.
The project was carried out with the participation of the Faculty of Geology, Geophysics, and Environmental Protection of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow.
The result of project is an innovative service involving a comprehensive analysis of suitability of quartzites for metallurgical purposes (including the production of iron and silicon alloys) together with designing a comprehensive methodology of exploration and documentation work and preparing a cost-effective technical model of a mining plant for a selected deposit.
